  1. Sir / Madam, The World Stroke Day 2013 will be observed on 29th. October all over the world by the World stroke Organisation, its member Societies and many other Organisations. The Stroke Foundation of Bengal, will also observe the World Stroke Day 2013 jointly with Medical College Ex-Students’ Association, Kolkata on 29th October 2013 . On this occasion, a Seminar will be held at the General Lecture Theatre(GLT) in Administrative Building of Medical College, Kolkata at 2 PM on 29th October , Tuesday. 2013 Prof. Saugata Roy, Hon’ble Member of Loksabha and Former Union Minister ,has kindly agreed to inaugurate the Seminar. Dr. Nirmal Maji, Hon’ble MLA, President of West Bengal Medical Council and also the President of Indian Medical Association, Bengal State Branch , will kindly grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. Prof. Tapan K lahiri, Principal Medical College, Kolkata and Prof. Asit Senapati, Director Bangur Institute of Neurosciences will grace the occasion as our Special Guests. Dr. Dipankar Mukherjee, Regional Team Leader-East, WHO Country Office for India, National Polio Surveillance Project , and Dr. Asim Kumar Sarkar, the President of Medical College Ex-students’ Association will be our Guests of Honour. The Seminar will be presided over by Prof. Dipes Kumar Mandal, the Founder-President of the Stroke Foundation of Bengal. You are cordially invited to attend the seminar with your colleagues. Dr. A.
