What’s New This Year? Student Demographic entry to MSDS • Single source data gathering for secure site • Data updates during Tested Roster restricted to MSDS • Confirm student data correct in MSDS • Simplify entry process and minimize errors
What’s New This Year? No Released Items in future • Items in tests will not be released to the public • Helps increase the volume of items currently in our bank • Save money by extending the life of current items • Reduce future development costs
What’s New This Year? Class/Group ID Sheets • Replaces the District and Teacher ID sheet • Optional form designed to allow districts and schools to receive reports by class or group • District assigns the codes • One form for each teacher • Instructions for completion in Manual
What’s New This Year? School Header Sheets • Replaces School ID sheets • Document placed on top of all student answer documents • Requires District and School codes • Requires total number of returning documents
What’s New This Year? School Return Envelope • Replaces the former Teacher Envelope • White envelope with label • Designed to return answer documents with the School Header sheet on top • Should be returned unsealed
What’s New This Year? Test Administrator Manual • Replaces the former “Coordinator and Assessment Administrator Manual”
What’s New This Year? Missing UIC will invalidate scores • Unique Identification Code is assigned to each student • UIC is printed on the student barcode label

What’s New This Year? New “State Model” IEP form • OSE-EIS released State Model IEP Form August 23, 2010 • Copy available on MI-Access Web page as a link to the form • Includes standards-based goals • Includes assessment choice fro MEAP-Access when available
What’s New This Year? Braille orders placed at state level only • Secure site will not be available to order Braille assessment material • Orders will be placed only by calling 877-560-8378 option 4 • Orders require a student name to complete order process • Help to reduce cost and waste of unnecessary orders

MEAP-Access Eligibility Bubble • Bubble on Answer Documents – FI only • Fill in if student would have taken the MEAP-Access assessment if it was available • Information provides framework for data analysis and future development • MEAP-Access Eligibility Criteria located at www.mi.gov/meap-access
What’s New This Year? Field testing of item formats in some forms • Field tests items included in some forms • Designed to fulfill item bank needs • Inserted to help future test development • Includes some alternate formats and structured items
