Continued… • Use 2: Shows facts. The simple present is used to show that a fact was true, is true and will be true. Examples: • Birds do not like milk. • The grass is green.
The Simple Present TERMINOLOGIES: +,Singular Sub + verb (s/es) + R. O. S. Note: Verbs ending with s, ss, sh, ch, z, zz, x, o take es, and also a verb ending with y and y is proceeded by a consonant, change y into i and add es. ex. She speaks English. +, Plural Sub. + B. F.
