  1. Best Adventure Books of 2021

  2. Although biographies and romance novels can be fun and informative, there are times when you want to escape into another world, or journey with someone on a treacherous mission. There are many such adventure books out there on sites like Adventee, but here are some of the best adventure books you should be reading in 2021. The Emerald Mile by Kevin Fedarko This is a story of how river guide Kenton Grua set out to paddle The Grand Canyon and hopefully beat the record of 48 hours. The only problem was that this year (1983) was one of the biggest floods in the area, and many people advised Grua to not embark on such a journey. The book is compelling, even when it is describing dam technology. Psychovertical by Andy Kirkpatrick Not everyone is an academic, and Andy Kirkpatrick, being severely dyslexic, always struggled at school. However, as with many in his position, he found his passion in mountain climbing. His adventures took him almost two years to put into words, but eventually, he managed to send in his first story. This book covers an account of his 12-day solo climb of El Cap’s Reticent Wall in Yosemite.

  3. Wind, Sand and Stars by Antoine de Saint-Exupery Antoine de Saint-Exupery is probably better known for his book The Little Prince, that can be found on Adventee. However, this book looks at those early days of the flying machine. In the 1920s and 30s, planes were still in their infancy and crashes were frequent. The accounts listed in this book will be enough to thank your lucky stars that planes have evolved. If you want to read more adventure stories like this, then check out Adventee.
