August 25th, 2014 Mrs. Height’s Second Grade Classroom News • Thank you to the families who came out for meet the teacher! • Please look for our newsletter each Monday! • I will send the newsletter in a paper copy, through email and it will also be posted on the class webpage. • Don’t forget that breakfast is free!!! • Please see our specials schedule on the back!! • We will be working hard to learn new routines and build community this week. • Reading log will start NEXT week. Students will receive the reading log this Friday, and expected to read 75 minutes the following week. • Please sign the behavior chart each night! • Student planners have been ordered for us and will hopefully be delivered soon! • Aug. 25-27th Students go straight to classrooms • Aug. 28th Early students begin going to the gym at 7:30 • Aug. 27th PTO Attractions Book Fundraiser begins • Aug. 27th PTO CiCi’s Pizza Night (5-8pm) • Aug. 29th School Spirit Day- Wear Hillcrest shirt or colors • Sept. 1st Labor Day Holiday (No School) • Sept. 4th Vertical Team Parent Meeting (6pm)
