  2. If we fail to plan, we plan to fail! Therefore, • First, UNDERSTAND the Task. • Next, make the PLAN. • Then, ASKAllah make the task easy. • And, START the Task. (If you walk towards Him, Allah will come to you running!!) - Hadeeth

  3. For Understanding Al-Qur'an First get to know… • How many words are there? • How fast can the human brain learn new words? • How many days will it take?

  4. In the MUSHAF from Madinah, (or the one used by those who memorize the Qur’an) Approximately • Words per Line 9 • Lines per page 15 • Total Words in every page 130 • Pages in the Mus-haf 600 • Words in the Mus-haf (130 x 600) 78,000 • Non-repeated Words 17,000 • Unique words (after learning صرف) 4,500 • Root words 1,850 On an average, each root word occurs in 2 to 3 derived word forms. For example, عَلِمَ، عَلَّمَ، عَلاَّم

  5. Easy to Learn! • Allah says, “Verily We have made Al-Qur'an EASY to understand and remember” • So the suggestion that “Al-Qur'an is difficult” is from shaitan! Even in your thoughts, NEVER agree with it and NEVERsay it. • Do we want to contradict what Allah says in the Qur’an? (May Allah forgive us!)

  6. Easy to Learn! • Allah has made His Al-Qur'an easy for us in many wonderful ways. For example,… • The words of Surah Fatihah are repeated 7500 times in Al-Qur'an!

  7. Easy to Learn: Step 1 • 100 words (and their derivatives) from Salaah – the Surah Fatiha, 6 often used small surahs, the usual dhikr words and 4 usual du’aas are found 40,000 times in the Qur’aan. • This means 50% of the words in the Qur’aan are from our DAILY Salaah, dhikr and duaas!!! • That is the content of our Short Course-1 (www.understandquran.com)

  8. Easy to Learn: Step 2 • Additional Recitations - 12 Last Surahs - 25 Du’aas Learnt Basic Words (from 2 courses) : 250 Occurrences in Al-Qur'an : 55,000 • That is the content of our Short Course -2 (to be released soon, inshaAllah)
