  1. Atreus and Thyestes Atreus and Thyestes were brothers they grew up together, but they did not get along.

  2. A few years later Atreus married the king’s daughter.

  3. Thyestes was very mad at his brother Atreus for marring the king’s daughter the princess.

  4. “I promise I will give you the best lamb in my herd.”

  5. Atreus found a lamb with golden fleece!

  6. In stead of keeping his word Atreus killed the lamb and kept it in a box for his own.

  7. After Atreus broke his word, he invited Thyestes over for dinner Thyestes did not know it was a trick.

  8. So Thyestes went over for dinner, he also brought his 2 sons. Atreus told his nephews to go out and play. They what they were told. When Atreus announced it was time for dinner everyone sat down. Atreus took the top of the food dish off……………. Thyestes saw his two sons heads and feet sitting dead there on the plate. Thyestes was shocked.
