  1. Bell Work #2 • 1-15-14: What is comedy? What makes something funny? • Turn in your “Modest Proposal” • Present your “Modest Proposal” – if you would like. • Pick your groups to make SNL style skit.

  2. Bell Work #2 • 1-17-14: List the 6 best comedy movies. What makes them funny? • Work on skits. • Check progress.

  3. Bell Work #21-20-14: Write down the quote and write a response to it. Do you agree or disagree? Why?

  4. Bell Work #2 • 1-21-14: Humor is about the unexpected. What is the unexpected event of your skit? Think about it as the turning point. • Work on your skits.

  5. Bell Work #2 • 1-22-14: Write a paragraph summary of your skit. • Run through your skit. Make sure it is at least 3 minutes long. • You will be turning in a copy of your skit when you present. You will get 10 points extra credit if you present on Thursday.

  6. Bell Work #2 • 1-23-14: What did you learn through the process of writing your skit? • Presentations?

  7. Bell Work #2 • 1-24-14: What did you like about doing the skits? What are your impressions of your classmates skits? • We will turn in Bell work after the presentations.
