Electronic editorial updating …. with Konnect EEUS Some highlights • Provides a host of features to increase the productivity of this process • Konnect EEUS plugs into you existing database system (no redevelopment required) • View master entry and update at the same time side-by-side • Entries can be saved “intermediately” by recipients (start updating and come back later to finish) • Paper based updating is still supported

The EditorThe 1st stage is to select the entries to send an update request e-mail to
The EditorClick on the Send button to send an update request e-mail to the selected entries
The EditorSelect the message type (here “First E-mail”) and compose the message
The EditorThe next stage is to click Send to send out the update request e-mails (#link# automatically inserts the URL for the entrant update form)
The EditorWhen the e-mails have been sent, click Close to close the dialog
The RecipientThe recipient checks for new mail in their inbox and sees the update request e-mail
The RecipientThe recipient opens the Update Form by clicking Click here to change your data
The RecipientThe update e-mail opens in the recipient’s browser, including in this case instructions on how to complete.
The RecipientScrolling down, the recipient updates their entry directly into the update form (which also includes sub-forms for related organisations, products, personnel, etc.
The RecipientWhen a recipient has finished updating/ checking their entry, they submit their changes by clicking Submit Changes
The RecipientAfter saving the changes made to the update form, the update request form is closed by clicking Yes on the dialog.
The EditorIn EEUS the editorselects the Approve entry status to view the entries that have been updated and returned by recipients
The EditorThe entries to be checked and approved by the editor are selected.
The EditorThe master entry and the new/updated entry are viewed side-by-side.The editor scrolls down to view the changes that have been made.
The EditorChanges that have been made by the recipient are immediately seen, as the relevant fields with changed data are highlighted in yellow.
The EditorRather than a horizontal split view,a twin display view option allows one to check entries via “portrait pages”. Master entry New entry
The EditorIn front of each field is a checkbox. The editor selects the fields that they wish to copy from the new entry into the master entry.
The EditorThe Copy Selected button is clicked to copy the new data from the updated entry into the master entry.
The EditorChanges are saved to the master database by clicking OK on the current dialog, and then clicking on the Save Changes button.
The EditorWhen saved changes have been confirmed, the editor can choose to continue to approve entries, or Cancel.
The EditorOnce approved, the status of the entry changes to Completed
