To Get Started (or Caught Up) • Go to www.stephens.edu • Click on Academics > Student Success Center > Events • Under the Excel workshop, open the PracticeSpreadsheet
Navigation • Ribbon/tabs • Name box, formula bar • Cells, rows, columns • Workbooks, worksheets • Add new sheet • Cell content • Text, numbers, special formatting • Formulas, functions • Data entry • Tab vs Enter
Pointers/Cursors (PC) Select Click on a cell to select it, or click-and-drag over a range of cells to select a range. Auto Fill Hover over the bottom right corner of a cell, then click and drag to auto fill. Continues or repeats a pattern, usually numbering, dates, or formulas/functions. Drag-and-Drop Hover over the edge of a cell (or the edge of a range of cells), then drag-and-drop to move contents to another location. Resize Column/Row Hover between column letters or row numbers, then click and drag to resize.
