A counter cultural prayer. a recognition of who God is…. And it is stunningly beautiful that Jesus not only thinks of God as Father but wants us to as well…. The way we view God will make or break our prayer life. God is ‘our Father’ and he is also ‘holy’.

The way we view God will make or break our prayer life
God is ‘our Father’ and he is also ‘holy’
‘we can be so caught up in the legitimate demands of life in our prayer time that we miss reflecting on the divine overtures of love.’ • Richard Foster
‘Post Christian culture is wanting the kingdom without submitting to the king. It is wanting to move beyond the heart of Christianity whilst feasting on its fruit.’ Mark Sayers
We don’t abandon our faith but gradually walk away from it without even knowing
“We are offered the mirage that we can have community without commitment, faith without discipleship, the kingdom without the King. To steal and misquote Eliot’s line, our faith doesn’t disappear with a bang but with a whimper.”
You see it might look great, it might sound like a perfect plan but it could be out of the centre of God’s will.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;thy kingdom come;thy will be done;on earth as it is in heaven.Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses,as we forgive those who trespass against us.And lead us not into temptation;but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever.Amen.
