  7. Masuuni Brunou “Jan, iron foundry owner.” Jan visiting a typical factoryworker’s dwelling. Only one room for a whole family.

  8. Masuuni Brunou Finland’s first iron alloy smelting works was founded in 1746 in Juankoski. They used this kind of lake ore iron. Memorial crosses were made of  lake ore iron at the foundry.

  9. Masuuni Brunou At the foundry they made irons, kettles, keys and locks, oven doors, many kinds of tools for homes, farmers and factory. A hundred years ago they started a wood refinery at the factory. After a couple of years that brought an end to the iron industry.
