Getting Started…eStrategic Planning Presented by: Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit #27 Eric Rosendale Cristine Wagner-Deitch esp@bviu.org eSP Help Desk - Joan Adams 717-732-8403
eStrategic Planning includes seven major reports: • Academic Standards and Assessment Ch 4 Report • Professional Education Report • Teacher Induction Report • Special Education Report • Educational Technology Report • District Improvement Report • Student Services Report– Chapter 12
eStrategic Planning allows • Stakeholders to communicate, collaborate, and coordinate • Planning to be a continuous process • LEAs to use the results of the planning to create better environments so that all students are successful.
Why eSP? Individual plans are often created with little or no interaction between multiple stakeholder groups and result in • Activities impacting those with little or no input • Duplicating activities • Diffusing focus and resources • Creating minimal ownership or accountability
Purpose of eStrategic Planning • To allow LEAs to complete state-mandated plans in a coordinated fashion under the scope of comprehensive strategic planning. • Record once – report often.
eSP is designed to • Facilitate the development of LEA plans in a web-based, centralized environment • Allow sections of the plans to be incorporated into other plans • Follow a logical workflow so that the creation, submission, review, and approval of plans are clear and concise
