Connotation in this poem is used to describe this patient and hard working spider. “Ever unreeling them, ever tirelessly speeding them.” Connotation is also used to illustrate the spider and isolation. “A noiseless patient spider,/ I mark’d where on a little promontory it stood isolated”.
