What does spanking do?In my mind Spanking does this! • Spanking MODELS HITTING • Spanking DEVALUES THE CHILD • Spanking DEVALUES THE PARENT • Spanking MAY LEAD TO ABUSE • Spanking DOES NOT IMPROVE BEHAVIOR • Spanking PROMOTES ANGER - IN CHILDREN AND IN PARENTS • Spanking BRINGS BACK BAD MEMORIES

  3. If you spank Kids, Look at what they learn!

  4. Does it really hurt the Parents to Spank? Or does it Hurt the Kids more? Its damaging to both in my opinion.

  5. It doesn’t matter the age. You should never spank a child or Kid! Does Spanking really prove anything to a child? All it proves is that your bigger then they are!

There are alternatives to spanking in my mind • You can give them choices • You can take a timeout so you calm down • You can get someone else involved • You can teach your child what you expect from them • You can recognize your child’s positive behavior • You can put your child in timeout • You can pick your battles • You can set limits with your child • You can be positive in your request with your child Here are some of my opinions on what you can do rather than spank a child or be tempted to spank!

  7. So if you can’t guess, I am against spanking My overall opinion is that you shouldn’t spank a child, no matter how old they are or how unruly they are being. There is always an alternative to spanking and that is a road better followed.
