What tack am I on? Look at where your boom is! – you are on the tack opposite of your boom. FPYC Racing
wind Red is on Port tack, Green on Starboard Both intend to pass the windward mark on the Port side of the boat. FPYC Racing
wind Starboard! Red is on Port tack, Green on Starboard FPYC Racing
wind It’s good practice to call out Starboard so the Starboard tack boat knows that the other boat sees the situation and intends to clear. Hold your course FPYC Racing
wind Red has 3 options: Clear (pass ahead of Green) Duck (steer lower and behind green) Or Tack (and then Red is on the same tack) Red is on Port tack, Green on Starboard FPYC Racing
wind Red can pass cleanly. Green is obligated to continue on a straight course. Clear (pass ahead of Green) Red is on Port tack, Green on Starboard FPYC Racing
