How do I know which verb tense to use? • Verbs have different tenses that can show action: • present The dog barks. • past The dog barked. • future The dog will bark.
When do I use a linking verb? • A verb can include more than one word, a main verb and a linking verb. • The dog is barking. • During the afternoon, my cats are content to nap on the couch. • Areing isn't something that cats can do.
