Report on technical review of fouling and its impact on heat transfer
Project Overview and Deliverables D2.2. Report on tube side and shell side enhancement research Details of research and technical development on the tube-side heat transfer enhancement which is combined with the internal fin structures on integrally-finned tubes. The systems will be investigated to enhance both single and two-phase flow applications, high and low viscosity fluids, with a wide range of flow regimes. Also externally-finned tubes with and without tube inserts will be evaluated. Details of research and technical development on the shell-side heat transfer enhancement using expanded metal baffles, and associated impacts and benefits.
Project Overview and Deliverables D4.1 - Report on design methodology for new heat exchanger networks using P-graph and the ABB (Accelerated Branch-and-Bound) optimisation algorithm (Month 10) Description of an automated design procedure which is able to integrate the networks of heat exchangers and identify the optimal network design as well as operating conditions. Optimisation frameworks includes modelling of heat exchanger networks and optimisation search algorithm based on P-graph and ABB method
