This is intended to deter abuse of privileges by those who do not qualify for disabled parking.
Disabled Parking General Information “Temporary” cards (for persons with a temporary disability) are red in color and are valid from 1 month to no more than 6 six months from date of issue. The fee for a temporary DISID card is $6 per card.
How does the DMV determine who is eligible? • The DMV does not make the decisions on who qualifies for the disabled products. This is based on decisions made by the following Health Care Specialist licensed to practice in any state: • Physician • Podiatrist • Advanced Practice Nurse • Chiropractor • Public Health Nurse • Physician Assistant who is licensed or certified • Christian Science practitioner residing in Wisconsin
