What is CAFOD? • CAFOD is an organisation inspired by our faith which takes its instructions from the Catholic community in England and Wales. • CAFOD is part of the universal Church, connecting people across the globe. • CAFOD works alongside those of other faiths and those of no religious affiliation.
What does CAFOD do? • CAFOD exists to bring about lasting and positive change • in the lives of some of the world’s poorest and most disadvantaged people in the global South • while challenging those of us in the North to transform our lives for the common good. • This change is underpinned by our faith identity and our commitment to partnership.

COMPASSION • Confronted by global poverty and suffering, our fundamental response is compassion rooted in love. • We refuse to accept the suffering of our brothers and sisters and we are compelled to take action to alleviate it.
