Analysis of the Teaching Material 本单元和前面几个单元相比,看似各自独立,但又是紧密联系生活中实用情景英语。围绕“Giving gifts”开展听、说、读、写等一系列的教学活动,主要让学生掌握在生活中如何向他人提出建议。 本单元另一个语言项目是“Compare qualities”。由Section A的“Compare qualities”到Section B对不同宠物的观点以及拓展阅读“Why don’t you learn to sing English songs?”,均围绕着should和how about等表示提建议的句式。因此在教学过程中要充分发挥学生的积极主动性和参与性,以对话促提高,在实际运用和谈论中熟悉并掌握本单元交际用语。 Unit 8 Why don’t you get her a scarf ? Teaching Aims 1、语言技能目标 (1)能用各种表达建议的方式来为别人献计献策,为不同的人选择不同的礼物,如 :Why don’t you get her a camera? How about some tennis balls? (2)熟练运用形容词来表达自己的喜好,并说明原因。 如:That’s too boring. 2、语言知识目标 (1)一些形容词,如expensive,cheap,interesting... (2)运用Why don’t you…? Analysis of students 经过将近两年的初中英语学习,学生已经建立了相对较稳固的基础。 他们已经在第二单元学习了提议“why don’t you…”, 所以本单元是对前面内容的复习与补充。其次,礼物是学生比较感兴趣的话题,因此,本节课的话题就不会空洞,毫无吸引力,学生们可以结合实际情况将英语真正运用到生活中。 Unit 8 Why don’t you get her a scarf ? Section A
