Theme: Hobbies • Guided practice • Bingo • Objective: Students are able to list all hobbies and identify all hobbies. • Bingo game: students will play vocabulary bingo game. (Listening/reading) • Directions: • Students listen to hobbies phrases read by the teacher. You will hear each phrase three times. You find the specific hobby and mark it in your bingo sheet. • Say “Bingo” when you have five in the row, column or diagonal.

(reading) • Directions: • Chinese characters and the corresponding pinyin are written on opposite sides of each dotted line. Students cut dot through the dotted lines to make many small triangles. Students will work in pair. Each pair is given a set of the cut-out triangles. They reconstruct the figure by joining the corresponding Chinese characters and pinyin. The figure for this activity is a shape of tree. The person who finishes first wins.
