  1. MICR 201 Quiz II In response to frequent inquiries what quiz II will cover: We will cover for quiz II chapters 15 – 19 (Lectures 8-12). This material will represent a thematic unit and it will allow you sufficient time to study in depth. Please use the posted student MC question as study tool, as well as your chapter end review question, and our lecture quizzes. About 25 questions will be drawn from this pool. The rest will be new questions whereby about 10 questions will be straight forward and the remaining 13 - 15 somewhat more challenging. There will be also a 5 point extra credit for Quiz II (individual assignment). Look out for news paper reports (GENERAL news) on nosocomial infections. Briefly summarize the report : news source, date of publication and author, the name of the microorganism, in which context described (2 sentences) If not covered in the report, add the morphology in gram stain and against what antibiotics the microorganism is resistant (one sentence). State what your career goal is (one sentence). Describe briefly how you in your future career can contribute to the fight against nosocomial infections (1 paragraph). Turn this in with your name and CIN number along with a print out of the report at the beginning of the day of the quiz. If you have any questions please email me. EP
