Attendance, Participation, Response Papers (1/3 grade) Four Response Papers >choose (any) 4 of 6 weeks to submit 1-page response paper >summarize (any) 1 of the week’s readings (½ page) >tie reading to (any) 1 of the week’s lecture themes (½ page) Due at start of section.No lates. Double-space, 12-point type.

  6. Two Mini-Essays (1/3 grade) • At (any) 2 of 3 junctures during the quarter, you must write a 2-page essay, linking course materials to life. • E.g., Articulate 1 dimension of economic globalization and consider some ways it has affected or will affect your own life. • Late papers penalized. Double-space, 12-point type. Each 1/6 course grade.

  7. Final (1/3 grade) On 12/11, you will take an in-class, open-note (not open-book) exam, drawing on our cumulative work. Short-answer questions.

  8. Social Organization of Classroom • Phones, Ipods, etc. • Arrive & Depart on Time • Talking, Texting, etc. • Bathroom Breaks, etc.
