Homework = studying • Teach a new concept • Reinforce learning with homework • Never, ever do this: “Hi Honey, do you have any homework?”
Studying is learning/memorization • Once the concept is mastered • Requires repetition over time Studying should be at least one hour per day 7 days per week In college, it is recommended 1 to 3 hours for each hour in class; 15 units = 15 hours in class
SQ3R/Muscle Reading…do before lecture if possible • Survey • Question • Read • Recite • Review If just start passively reading = 30% retention

girlfriend No time for a serious relationship now. Wait until after college Football or baseball or whatever is your girlfriend. Clubs, activities, music, drama, robotics, etc.
