  2. How Shoes Have Improved. Old shoes were strictly made out of leather and even wood. They have improved to being made out of rubber, mesh, some plastics and cloth.

  3. Why There are many reasons that people have been changing shoes throughout the years. New shoes are being made out of cloth and mesh to be lightweight. They have been improved to be more comfortable, by adding padding into the sole and toe area. The first shoes had no padding in the inside and were very uncomfortable.

  4. Different Types of Shoes. When they first made the leather shoes, they were made for from every day use to work and sports. Now they have shoes for every specific activity from basketball and soccer to skate and work shoes. There are minor differences for each shoe whether it be different tread on the bottom or how much grip the show has. Soccer shoes have studded treads so while you are running they can dig in for better traction. Basketball shoes have really thin rubber on the bottom or different materials replace rubber to reduce weight. Work shoes such as steel toe boots actually have steel in the toe to protect your feet on the job.
