Summer 2012 Anthropology 121: Religion JORDAN This is a 3 unit course and is CSU and UC transferable. This course is an introduction to the anthropological study of religion and examines the way religion is lived and practiced in diverse cultures. Topics covered include mythology, symbolism, ritual, magic, and witchcraft; the course examines the role of religion in human experiences of sickness and death and explores contemporary issues of religious change, conflict, and violence.

Application Process --Obtain an application from Darren Grosch (groschda@lasc.edu) or Jon Breman (bremanjd@lasc.edu) --$200 deposit by February 17, 2012 --Obtain a passport --Attend orientation and information sessions (dates to be announced) --Payment 1 of $1500 by April 16, 2012 --Payment 2 of $500 by May 27, 2012 --Payment 3 of $600 by June 28, 2012
