  1. Life In Difficult Times – On A Wheelchair Life is uncertain. It changes unexpectedly and sometimes these changes are unfortunate. You or one of your near ones must have experienced a difficult time at some point in life because of unfortunate incidents. Ask a wheelchair bound person who once loved following his hobby of playing football. Such incidents can break a person. While some are courageous enough to bounce back and learn to deal with it, others simply give up. Lack of inspiration and information can be one of the many reasons that they are not able to start their life all over again.

  2. People in wheelchair take longer to accept the drastic change in their life. Along with physical restrictions, they may also feel emotional outbreaks. The feeling of ‘why did this happen to me’ kills all the enthusiasm and willpower. However, they can learn to deal with the situation and accept it by simply adapting to these changes. It’s not the end of the world. It’s just a new beginning, may be a little difficult, but full of hopes and possibilities. Emotional changes are usually negative emotional changes that can make them feel they are experiencing the worst in life. Understanding those emotions and accepting the changes can be a great healer for wheelchair bound patients. A burst of emotions including a feeling of belittlement, inferior, and exclusion are common. Asking an expert for help can bring positive influences in life. Apart from this, family and friends can be of great help during this difficult phase. Family’s help and support is the best way to deal with undesirable changes and gradually accept the life as it comes. Here are some tips for them: Talking to an expert Writing down the experience as it comes in life. Writing a journal not just helps to calm down emotions, but also provides a reference for others in similar situation. Spending time with a close friend and talking to them can help get an outside perspective. Meditation is quite helpful in these situations. It offers a sense of peacefulness and distracts from the difficulties. For physical changes, there are better than ever solutions. Wheelchairs can help diminish the restrictions. Modern age wheelchairs are designed to provide better mobility solution with greater independence.
