  2. Summoner Story: Homeless, or home less than desirable, older man, in an inn. Evidence: “there was a summoner, with us at the inn,”

  3. Speech/Actions Drunk, swearing, Latin. Evidence: “ And drinking strong red wine till all was hazy. Then he would shout and jabber as if crazy, and wouldn’t speak a word except in latin.”

  4. Thinks/Feels Depressed or sad, Ponders when or where he will eat next, doesn’t really think too much. Evidence: “No wonder, for he heard them every day.” “Then Questio quid juris was his tag.” I ask what the point of the law applies.

  5. Looks/Dresses Wears whatever he has, thin beard, narrow eyes. Evidence: “Children were afraid when he appeared.”

  6. Guildsmen Story: Salesmen, group of people, dyers, carpenters, weavers etc. Evidence: “A haberdasher, a dyer, a carpenter, a weaver and a carpet maker were among our ranks, all in the livery.”

  7. Speaks/Acts Proper or fancy talker, act like rich people. Evidence: “They were so trim and fresh.”

  8. Thinks/Feels Full of themselves, Enjoys working to make money. Evidence: “Each seemed a worthy burgess, fit to grace a guild-hall with a seat upon the dias.”

  9. Looks/Dresses Dresses top class, wealthy. Looks sophisticated. Evidence: “their gear would pass for new.” “They had the capital and revenue.”
