Intro This document contains the case studies which we have most recently used. You are urged to review these before you send them out externally to ensure that they reflect your understanding of the project. Please also check with marketing if using these case studies externally (i.e. outside specific presentations or bids/tenders) as some contain uncontrolled information as a result of our lack of historic client sign off process. This file will be regularly reviewed so always download from the website to ensure you have the most current version. If you wish to update a case study in this document please notify Marketing of the changes so that this change can be filtered through to the master docs. Aberdeen Asset Management - Edinburgh • £1m • 18 Weeks | Furniture, Fittings & Equipment • Financial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were commissioned by international investment management group Aberdeen Asset Management to design and construct the fit-out for their new Edinburgh office at 40 Princes Street. This refurbishment encompassed approximately 17,500sqft on the top two floors of the recently constructed prime development in the heart of Edinburgh. The project involved the creation a new reception area, flexible open-plan office space and meeting and conference facilities, while responding with the properties breathtaking views across Edinburgh Castle and the cityscape of the Old Town beyond.
Aberdeen Harbour Board • TBC • 12 weeks | Relocations and Move Management • Commercial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were commissioned to re-design one floor of the Head Office accommodation, a traditional granite property, to re-site the Board Room and create new conferencing facilities. In responding to the brief, the major challenge was to answer the client’s list of new requirements whilst retaining the feel of the unique and valuable heritage of this centuries-old organisation. The new space now offers full board room, dining and conference facilities along with state-of-the-art AV facilities.
Aberdeen Journals • £130k • 4 Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management • Commercial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Redesign and refurbishment of the design department was required to provide a dynamic and stylish work environment for the advertising sales team. Glass partitions, new storage systems, new furniture and layout have created a modern workspace to encourage productive team working.
Alliance Trust • £3,600 • Weekend “Feedback on the move and new layout has been incredibly positive, so huge thanks to you and your team for all your hard work over the last couple of weeks. We couldn’t have done it without you” Norma Watson, Alliance Trust • Financial Services | Relocations and Move Management The client wanted to change their workspace, so Space Solutions had to reconfigured 105 desks into a new formation based on the plans supplied by the client. To facilitate this Space Solutions packed all desk top I.T. equipment using anti-static bubble hoods and IT crates, the I.T. equipment was then held in a holding area. There was also numerous filing cabinets and other associated office furnishings to be moved along with over 100 personal packing crates supplied for the staff’s desk contents. Working to a tight schedule and placing items as per the floor plans, we completed this move outside working hours ensuring that the client’s I.T. partners could ensure connectivity to all their systems
Amec – Farringdon Road • £TBC • # Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management | Furniture, Fittings & Equipment • Commercial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions recently completed a turnkey office design and fit-out for Amec on one level of a multi-occupancy building at Farringdon Road, Central London. The project was completed within tight timescales and involved personnel from all of the firm’s divisions. Providing a mixture of open plan and cellular space, the office also offers ample meeting and conference facilities for the 320 staff.
Amec – Queen Victoria St, London • £TBC • Ongoing | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management | Furniture, Fittings & Equipment | Recycling Services • Commercial Services | Workplace Consultancy | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions and Cochrane McGregor & Associates recently completed a turnkey office design and fit-out for Amec’s Plc Headquarters in London. The project was completed within tight timescales and also involved the relocation of Senior Personnel and support staff from their current building in Old St. Providing mainly cellular space, the office also required a large suite of meeting and conference facilities.
Amec – Seafield House • £1.1m • 8 Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management • Commercial Services | Workplace Consultancy | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Works included the stripping out of old partitioning, lighting and cabling; installation of new demountable partitioning, new lighting throughout; alterations to floorbox power; new Cat 6 data networking throughout including formation of new Comms Rooms with air conditioning; Audio visual systems were also installed. On completion of refurbishment over 400 staff were relocated from Quattro House together with all associated furniture and equipment. The overall works on site were successfully managed and carried out by Space Solutions over a fast-tracked eight week period, including weekend and evening working.
Apache • TBC • Ongoing | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management | Furniture, Fittings & Equipment • Commercial Services | Workplace Consultancy | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions was commissioned to provide client side project management services in relation to Apache’s move from Alba Gate and Grampian House to the new Kings Wells office development, due for completion in August 2013. The project has involved major design reviews of key elements such as space planning, general arrangement, project management of aspects including security strategy and IT and interior design. Space Solutions is working with Apache to manage and coordinate all aspects of the design, move management furniture procurement and communication of the requirements to the developers team.
ASPC • £350k • 15 weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management • Professional Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions undertook an innovative project to consolidate the facilities in the two-storey property shop into the ground floor. The main challenge was to maximise the public space with a clean, simple interior. Considerable internal structural alterations were made to transform the space. It now has an internet café-style area, wall mounted LCD touch-screen computers, frameless glass walls and organically sculpted forms, creating a welcoming environment for property hunters, integrating the high-tech facilities.
Bacaro • £500K • 26 Weeks • Leisure Services | Space Planning and Interior Design Working closely with our clients we created a new design and operational style to form a club that would suit any ‘bon vivant’. Bacaro is an exclusive boutique nightclub and was furnished with unique elements such as a wrought iron DJ booth, champagne cellar with mini champagne vending machine and opulent specially designed lounge furniture. Little pockets of areas are rented to guests exclusively for the evening. The venue, which formed the basis of a brand and style that went on to win various design and operational awards as well as international recognition within the industry.
BG Group • £2m • 30 Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management | Furniture, Fittings & Equipment • Commercial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were commissioned to undertake a feasibility study for BG Group for the proposed conversion and refurbishment of the property at Albyn Place. Space Solutions carried out an open-book tendering exercise for all constituent works. The design of the project required close communication with the client to ensure that their specific requirements were met and a high end specification achieved. The design result is that all offices, meeting rooms, toilet areas, breakout areas, canteen and circulation space are finished to the highest quality. The project also involved the installation of all furniture the relocation of all staff involved.
BOC Linde • £500K • 12 Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management | Recycling Services • Industrial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design • Space Solutions undertook the full design and refurbishment of Linde’s workshop and laboratory in London. • Working within a restrictive budget presented a number of challenges to the client’s initial aspirations, through Space Solutions’ turnkey approach and some value engineering – Laboratory equipment was sourced from Linde Vienna – a workplace and laboratory design solution was found to meet their requirements within budget.
BP - Aberdeen • £750k • 18 Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management • Energy Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design BP appointed Space Solutions to undertake the design and refurbishment of four floors of office accommodation within New Telecom House to provide space for around 250 staff. The floors were designed with flexible meeting rooms, breakout areas, ‘huddle rooms’ and open plan office areas. Works involved down-takings, installation of new partitioning, upgrading of lighting to LG7 standards, installation of a Cat 6a data network, new high-spec comms room, alterations to a/c and replacement of wall and floor finishes. The project was successfully planned, managed and carried out on site by Space Solutions on a phased basis to allow staff to occupy the floors as soon as practicable.
Bristow • £3.8m • 45 Weeks • Commercial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design In 2009, Space Solutions were appointed Architects and Lead Consultants for the design and construction of a new £3.5m office and simulator building for Bristow, incorporating high quality 3 storey offices and teaching facilities with adjoining barrel roof simulator training building.
BSkyB • £2.1M • 36 Weeks | Relocations and Move Management • Commercial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were appointed in 2011 to undertake a full refurbishment for SKY’s back office facilities. Space Solutions were engaged as a multi-discipline team to drive the project. The project was fast track to meet SKY’s programme and required a two stage tender process. Space Solutions added value to the project through a detailed understanding of the client’s needs having worked with them for a significant number of years and having the ability to manage the team including M&E, SKY’s own IT, stakeholders and the Property and FM department. The project was successfully delivered with Space Solutions installing all of the furniture and implementing a phased movement of over 900 staff.
Champion Technologies • £4.5m • 48 Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management • Energy Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Following an invitation-only concept design competition, Space Solutions were chosen as Architect, Project Manager, CDM Co-ordinator and BREEAM Assessor for the design and construction of this £4.5m facility. An innovative design was developed with energy efficiency high on the agenda, with a BREEAM rating of excellent being targeted. Features of the building include a 7m high internal laboratory atrium space, with high levels of natural daylight and naturally ventilated, large roof overhangs providing solar shading, and an enclosed link bridge to the original office building.
CHC Scotia • £2.4m • 32 Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management • Industrial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design In 2009, Space Solutions were appointed Architects and Lead Consultants for the design and construction of a new £3.5m office and simulator building for Bristow, incorporating high quality 3 storey offices and teaching facilities with adjoining barrel roof simulator training building.
Change Recruitment • £100k • 5 Weeks | Relocations and Move Management • Commercial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Change Recruitment, one of the UK’s leading independent recruitment companies, asked Space Solutions to help with the design and refurbishment of a new office which would accommodate the consolidation of 100 staff from 2 locations in Glasgow. A stunning reception area was created, twelve interview rooms, board room, breakout area, and a modern open plan office space. The design was created to reflect the company’s recognizable trademark colours and style; with a feature glazed wall, curved digital wall, and colour scheme highlighting this.
City of Glasgow College • £120,000 • 2 years | Furniture, Fittings & Equipment • Education Services Space Solutions were appointed on behalf of the client at City of Glasgow College as a joint consultant advising on all aspects of FF&E delivery and migration management for the new campus . This involved information gathering and interviews with all departments - collating the required packages of information to support COGC in the appointment of the bidding teams. Space Solutions worked closely with the client through the bidder stages right through to the appointment of the winning team at the end of 2012.
Cityview Rd • Upt o £2m • Phase 1 = 26 weeks • Commercial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions are providing Architectural and Interior design services to this joint-venture development phase 1 of which is currently on site at Wellington Road, West Tullos, Aberdeen. The development is for 5 office pavilions over 2 phases. The development will provide 100,000sqft of office space on a prime location with spectacular views over the Aberdeen City Skyline to the north east and west.
CMS Cameron McKenna • £300k • 12 weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out • Professional Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were appointed in May 2010 to design and manage the refurbishment of the new CMS Cameron McKenna office premises in Castle Street, Edinburgh. The project involved the refurbishment of 6,800 sq ft of office space and was designed to provide the firm’s 35 staff with a reception area, conference and meeting suites, staff welfare areas, dedicated quiet rooms, open plan space, storage area and a library.
Communities Scotland • £2.4m • 8 Weeks | Relocations and Move Management • Third Sector Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Communities Scotland appointed Space Solutions to undertake a workplace analysis to appraise the current and future needs of the business. They required a solution that accommodated an additional 240 posts from another building into Highlander House, whilst also allowing for future growth. Following the development of a clear and defined workplace solution, Space Solutions assisted in the design implementation from development of interior designs, to preparing construction and tender information. Space Solutions also managed the phasing of the refurbishment and relocations works, ensuring minimal disruption to the client.
Conoco Phillips • £310k • 12 Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management | Furniture, Fittings & Equipment • Energy Services | Workplace Consultancy | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design The project involved design and alteration works to form a new meeting room and gym accommodation together with works to the library archive. The works were carried out in three phases within an occupied building to minimise disruption, maintain business operations and ensure health and safety. Works included the stripping out of old partitioning and services; installation of demountable partitioning; suspended ceilings; lighting; air conditioning; alterations to power and data networking; new floor and wall finishes; audio visual systems were installed to meeting room and gym areas. On completion of the job furniture was installed in the meeting rooms and specialist equipment in the gym.
Dundas & Wilson • £378k • 12 weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Furniture, Fittings & Equipment • Professional Services | Workplace Consultancy | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were commissioned to undertake a feasibility exercise to develop reception and meeting room suites for one of Scotland's premier legal practices. Having taken careful account of both client brief and restrictions of the current building lines, Space Solutions developed outline design proposals for a modern dynamic solution. This incorporated state of the art video conference and meeting facilities, flexible meeting space, and ancillary areas in support of the main meeting space. The team managed the full fit-out and refurbishment which was divided into three phases to allow for occupation to coincide with the works.
Edinburgh College • Undisclosed • Ongoing • Education Services | Workplace Consultancy | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design • Space Solutions were engaged to undertake interior design and furniture consultancy services at the Edinburgh College’s Sighthill Campus. The project required the creative application of new branding to integrate the project with the rest of the campuses. Space Solutions presented numerous options for the design with CGI images to assist in visualising the overall effect that the branding and interior proposals would create. This assisted the Board in understanding the scheme architectural design. Our in-house design team also prepared the scheme for the furniture proposals which was designed to keep the look and feel of the space fresh and vibrant whilst keeping the costs within the existing budget parameters.
Eteaket • £138k • 8 Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out • Hotel and Leisure Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were appointed by Eteaket to design and project manage the new tea boutique located in a former commercial office space within the basement property of a listed building in Frederick Street, Edinburgh. The brief was to create a tea shop which would cater for both seated and takeaway customers as well as integrating a retail service. The new boutique cafe is unique and relaxing with contemporary décor.
Ferguson Modular Group • £4,5m • 2.5 years • Commercial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were appointed by The Ferguson Modular Group to manage the interior design for the company’s new flagship head quarter building in Kintore, Aberdeenshire. The Space team developed a high spec, contemporary design for the 3 storey building, which included executive offices, open plan office areas, meeting rooms and board room. A quality finish was consistent throughout the building with the design including bespoke walnut wood paneling, reception desk and furnishings as well as executive furniture and state of the art AV equipment. The design work for the project took 2.5 years in total, inclusive of 1 year on site.
First State Investments • £350k • 20 Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management | Recycling Services • Financial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were appointed to carry out the refurbishment of almost 20,000 sq ft of space within First State’s Edinburgh offices. The Reception takes on a stylish contemporary feel whereas the meeting rooms were designed in keeping with the period of the building. The large more modern open plan office spaces were given a cosmetic refurbishment to freshen up the space. Working closely with the Client in order to minimise disruption, the works were carried out over 4 phases while the Client remained in occupation.
FNZ – Phase 1 • £500k • 12 Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move • Financial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were appointed to design and plan the new FNZ offices at Tanfield. The project involved the refurbishment of 14,435 sq ft of office space, designed to provide the firm’s 215 staff with a central Edinburgh office with a reception area, meeting rooms and board room, staff welfare areas, dedicated offices, open plan space, IT area and Comms room. The design incorporated security systems such as speed lines and secure access passes. Space Solutions Interior Designer worked alongside FNZ’s design team to incorporate the new corporate branding into the interior with the objective for FNZ to roll this out throughout their offices worldwide.
FNZ – Phase 2 • Undisclosed • 12 Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move • Financial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were appointed to design and plan the new FNZ offices at Tanfield. The project involved the refurbishment of office space and break out areas, designed to provide a working environment which complimented the creative staff who would work there. GE Aberdeen • £TBC • Ongoing | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management • Energy Services | Workplace Consultancy | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space solutions are carrying out ongoing services for GE oil and gas comprising design, relocation and construction. We recently completed internal layout alterations to 3rd floor West and 4th Floor North to pilot the provision of a more open working environment from the existing mixture of cellular and open plan accommodation. We also worked with GE to re stack their building to collocate departments where possible on the same floor/ wings. This involved the relocation of 800 staff during December 2012. We are currently redesigning 15 remaining wings of Silverburn House with a view to rolling out the more open approach commencing April through to late summer 2013.
George Watsons College • £15K • 4 Weeks • Education Services | Architecture, Space Planning | Refurbishment and Fit-out • Space Solutions were commissioned by George Watson’s College, a prestigious private school in central Edinburgh, to design and develop a student consultation room and a student meeting area due to a lack of dedicated space so staff , pupils and parents could have one-to-one meetings when required. • Due to the existing building’s layout the space available was limited, existing high spec finishes had to be matched and the Client's specific workstation requirements made the project challenging but with design creativity the Clients aspirations were met within a strict timescale and on budget.
Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games HQ • £4m • Ongoing | Furniture, Fittings & Equipment • Commercial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were appointed to assist the Glasgow 2014 Organising Committee in multiple ways. We provided a project monitoring role, acting as a technical liaison between client and contractor. The space planning provides a flowing working environment whilst carefully managing significant quantities of second hand furniture from a variety of sources. Interior design service was also provided; working closely with G2014 appointed marketing agents, Tangent Graphic.
Glasgow School of Art • £1.8M • 12 weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management | Furniture, Fittings & Equipment • Education Services | Workplace Consultancy | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were appointed to help GSoA determine the optimum temporary location for the departments decanted by the redevelopment of their existing premises - providing a full learning experience for the students in the temporary location within a tight budget. Space Solutions surveyed all existing FF&E , including technical equipment and incorporated it into the temporary location, meeting departmental consultation and the layout of the new building. This project was completed on time, within budget and met the necessary practicalities of the departments’ specific needs.
Grand Cru • £150K • 36 Weeks • Leisure Services | Space Planning and Interior Design Grand Cru is one of the city’s most successful venues offering the holy grail of operators: a daytime venue which develops seamlessly into an evening and late night music and club venue. The brief required us to provide the operator with a very successful venue that offered many new revenue streams through the mixed use of the space. Creating different areas and levels our approach of a laid-back easy lounge and restaurant space the positioning of the concealed DJ booth allows the space to morph into a lively pre-club bar. Screens, lighting and acoustic treatments were all specially designed to strengthen this operational style.
Inspire • £3.1m • 14 Months • Third Sector Services | Workplace Consultancy | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Preplanning consultation and ultimate design for this 14000 sq ft multi resource centre for Inspire. The centre includes a double training kitchen, 50-seater restaurant, a suite of enabling rooms and a multi-use recreational facility. The site also provides head office accommodation for the North East’s largest charity supporting people with learning disabilities.
IPA Energy & Water Economics • £300K • 12 Weeks • Heritage Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were commissioned by IP to carry out the architectural and interior design services for a full refurbishment of a grade A listed town house in Edinburgh’s New town. The property had previously been used as office accommodation but was in a dilapidated state and required significant refurbishment. Space Solutions created an environment which married the new with the old as well as tacking issues with Historic Scotland surrounding the subdivision of principal rooms. The project delivered a quality working environment for the business and was crowned by a custom designed lighting feature hanging three storeys from the roof cupola to illuminate the a Georgian staircase.
Kongsberg • £3.1m • 32 Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management | Furniture, Fittings & Equipment • Industrial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Kongsberg were keen to see that their building was right for their needs. Space Solutions undertook workplace consultancy on their existing premises at both Bridge of Don and Westhill to establish the company’s working requirements. Following that a design was created which fitted with best working practice and which ensured buy-in from users of the new three floor facility. Space Solutions also supported Kongsberg on furniture and interior design options. A high-tech, modern finish was essential to ensure that the new facility reflected how the company wanted to be perceived.
Lothian & Borders Police • £200K • 10 Weeks | Relocations and Move Management | Recycling Services • Public Sector Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design • Space Solutions have undertaken various projects for including the design, space planning, move management and relocations within their police stations and HQ in Edinburgh. Most recently Space Solutions were engaged to act as lead consultant for the refurbishment and enabling works required to accommodate the new Scottish Police Service HQ at Tulliallan in Kincardine. Space Solutions acted as PM, Architect, Designer, CDMC and CA to deliver the project within three months to accommodate the early implementation of the National Strategic Command Base for the new force. This also culminated in the provision of furniture and recycling of old assets to provide a truly environmental service.
Maersk • £4,5m • 52Weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management • Energy Services | Workplace Consultancy | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions was contracted to project manage the reorganisation, refurbishment and fit-out of Maersk House in Aberdeen. An initial feasibility exercise was undertaken to understand the optimum layout to allow maximum utilisation of the available space. Refurbishment work on the 53,800sq ft five-storey building was carried out on a phased basis to allow the continuing occupation of the building. Space Solutions provided move management and relocation support during each phase of the project which involved more than 300 personnel. .

Maven - London • £TBC • Ongoing | Refurbishment and Fit-out • Commercial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions and Cochrane McGregor & Associates have been appointed to design and fit-out Maven Capital Partners new London offices next to the Bank of England. The project involves the refurbishment of top floor accommodation with challenging architectural features, including a reception lobby, boardroom, meeting rooms, welfare facilities, centralised print hub and open plan office area. A quality finish is required throughout.

The project involved the transformation of Marathon House at Hill of Rubislaw into a modern functional office space. The turnkey project involved team members from each Space division to undertake services including architecture and space planning, project and contract management, on-site works and move management and relocations. Works on the five-storey building were carried out on a phased basis to ensure business continuity.

This project saw the consolidation of the Faculty of Health which had been dispersed over seven locations, in addition to all professional services departments - in total around 500 staff. Consultation saw that new ways of working for the faculty were required; the converging of three libraries at a total of 1,600 linear meters of stock to open plan space. Space Solutions proposed best use of space and storage within the office areas and the development and implementation of archiving solutions throughout the University. Minto • £3m • Ongoing | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management • Commercial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Minto Commercial Park is a speculative development, located in Altens Industrial Estate, and offering sites for properties upwards of 10,000sq ft in size. Space Solutions worked initially with Knight Real Estate to assess feasibility for the development of the site, then continued to provide services as lead architect. Minto Commercial park extends to approximately 11 acres (4.5Ha) of land which is almost fully developed, with occupiers including iiCorr, Aberdeen Valve Supplies, LHR Marine, LG Ball Valves and Denholm Oilfield Services.
Neptune Marine Services • £100k • 6 weeks | Relocations and Move Management • Commercial Services | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Space Solutions were engaged initially to search for suitable accommodation for the firm’s new headquarters. The property, in Aberdeen’s prestigious West End, was then designed and fitted out to meet the specific requirements of the expanding subsea engineering company. The result is an attractive modern office space which highlights the features of the traditional granite building.
NHS Larkhall – Health Centre • £750,000 • 8 weeks | Refurbishment and Fit-out | Relocations and Move Management • Healthcare Services | Workplace Consultancy | Architecture, Space Planning and Interior Design Refurbishment of existing health clinic to provide additional consultation rooms and facilities alongside the refurbishment of community nursing staff areas and external reroofing and car park works. Space Solutions overcame the issues of carrying out the works in an operational health centre through consultation, decanting clinics to portakabins on site so that patient care continued without disruption throughout the process. Completed within eight weeks NHS Larkhall has realised greatly improved functionality and patients’ greater usability and access to the centre.
