  2. What is RoHS? RoHS is an abbreviation for “Restriction of Hazardous Substance”. It is a directive policy to restrict the use of certain hazardous substances from electrical and electronic equipment. It deals with avoiding certain elements to ensure the safety of the users. RoHS has originated in the European Union in 2002/2003. The purpose of RoHS is to decrease the environmental effects and health issues because of electronics.
