Coronary heart disease (CHD) UK's biggest killer, causing around 82,000 deaths each year.  One in five men One in eight women Die from the disease. • In the UK, there are an estimated 2.7 million people living with the condition and 2 million people affected by angina . Members Annual Questionnaire Results show:- • 84.6% respondents say exercising at the club helps with the performance of daily activities • 96.1% respondents say exercising makes a small or more significant contribution to alleviating/controlling symptoms of their heart condition • 80.7% respondents say exercising significantly helps alleviate/control symptoms of their heart condition

Other Conditions • 50% (13 out of 26) respondents reported having other chronic conditions besides cardiac problems. • Diabetes (23%) and asthma (12%) are the most common other conditions experienced by members. • 100% of respondents with other conditions rated exercise sessions as significantly alleviating/controlling these conditions.

HEADLINE: 73% report improvement in their physical health over the period while attending the club • HEADLINE: 92% attribute exercising at the club as making a significant contribution to the improvement in their physical health • HEADLINE: 100% of respondents members report that exercise improves their mood
