MIAP Summary • MIAP is transforming the way information is collected and shared across the sector • MIAP streamlines the collection, handling and sharing of information on learning and achievement • It enables learners to take ownership of their own record of lifelong learning and achievement • MIAP services benefit learners, schools, colleges, universities, training providers, advice and guidance services, awarding bodies, employers and government bodies

MIAP Services • UK Register of Learning Providers • Allocates a UK Provider Reference Number (UKPRN) to each provider, includes contact details and access to course details and other information such as OFSTED inspections • Learner Registration Service • Accessed by learning providers to issue a Unique Learner Number (ULN) for each learner • ULN allows access to the Learner Record • Learner Record • Record of learner’s qualifications and achievements • Learner has control over sharing information with providers and employers

4. Timescales for Delivery • The UKRLP is live and contains information on more than 19,500 providers • The Learner Registration Service is live and already being used successfully by a wide range of learning providers and organisations • The Learner Record will be delivered during 2009
