    2. BACKGROUND For cooling of building, housing 2 nos. 22KA 365V Rectifiers, Air Pressurization Unit comprising 1 no. 80000 CM3 capacity blower driven by 30KW, 1440RPM motor has been installed. As per usual practice the blower motor used to run through DOL starter on 24 hrs. basis at constant speed and loading of 27 KW.

OPPORTUNITY ENVISAGED FOR ENERGY SAVING i) The ambient temperature was down during night hours. ii) The ambient temperature was down during winter season. iii) The plant load was reduced during peak load restriction hours. iv) The plant load got reduced due to some plant limitations or breakdown
