Programs Offered • Aviation & Technology • Chemical & Materials Engineering • Civil & Environmental Engineering • Computer Engineering • Electrical Engineering • General Engineering • Industrial & Systems Engineering • Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering
Curricula • All engineering programs have similar lower division course requirements -- math, physics, chemistry, intro to engineering, etc. • Aviation and Technology have less requirements on math and science courses. • Upper division curricula consist of major courses, a technical writing, upper division GE’s, and a major design course.

Silicon Valley Engineering Scholarship • $20,000 scholarship for incoming freshmen • $22,000 and $10,000 for transfer students • 11 scholarships awarded for Fall 2005

Dispelling Popular Myths aboutEngineering at SJSU • Engineering is NOT impacted • Noadditional requirements for admission to SJSU (Math, Physics, etc) beyond CSU regular requirements for transfer admission • Completion of entire sequence of Lower Division course requirements is NOT mandatory for enrollment in Upper Division coursework • Area A3 Critical Thinking is NOT required for admission or graduation from Engineering programs
Transfer Notes • Take and pass the Writing Skills Test(by 2nd SJSU semester at the latest) • Completion of ENGL 1B with a grade of C or higher is required to take • the WST and to enroll in 100W courses • Successful completion of WST is required prior to enrollment in 100W courses and all other SJSU Studies courses • Next WST test date is Saturday, November 19, 2005 • (registration deadline: 10/27)
