  2. Objectives • Give parents same information being shared with the students. • Enable parents to be more versed in college and career information.

  3. #Goals • 11th Grade College & Career Readiness • School Goals/PSC Goals • Decrease number of students that are out of their cohort by 7-10% • Increase 12th grade graduation rate by 3-5% • Decrease 9th grade retention by 3-5%

Classes & Grades • Individual Counseling with PSC • Supports/Interventions available (Title I-Ms. Brown) • In-school credit recovery (semesterized) • After-school credit recovery (semesterized) • Saturday school credit recovery • Night school (semesterized) • Online school • After-school study program (permission slips available) • Saturday school study program • Quarter recovery • Referrals to outside agencies • Accelerated classes (Dual Enrollment, AP, etc.)

Standardized Tests • PSAT-scores can qualify juniors for PSNMQT • Accuplacer-qualify for Dual Enrollment; meet PARCC requirement for Algebra 2 • ASVAB-designed to help students identify potential careers • SAT-measures the reading, writing and math levels of high school juniors and seniors; test many students take to get into college • ACT-tests same subjects as SAT, includes Science; scores used interchangeably with SAT
