  7. No. 20 Big feller Steamer longa Cooktown, childhoods reme[mbrance] This sketch appears to recall Oscar's 1887 journey on a steamer from Cooktown. Oscar could be the small figure towards the end of the ship.

  9. No. 16 Camooweal white Ladies Here, Oscar has captured the fashions of the 1880s. It is likely that the smaller figure on the left is a girl. She appears to be holding the hand of her carer.
