Section A • Task 1 Look at the photos and discuss these questions: • What kind of company is easyJet? • What do you already know about easyJet and easyEverything?
Task 2 Toby Nicol works for easyJet. Listen to him talking about the history of the airline and fill the blanks. • Task 3 Now listen to Toby talking about the structure of easyJet. Fill the blanks in the summary.
Task 4 Discuss these questions. • Would you like to work for one of the easyGroup companies? Why (not)? • How is the company structure different from companies you know or have worked for?
Task 5 Write down the names of two well-known companies in your city or region. Discuss what you know about each company’s activities. • .
Section B • Task 1 Which of these words can you use to talk about your own company and your own office? (or a company you know, or have worked for.) Add any extra words you need to the lists.
Task 2 Look at this extract from an organizational chart. Match the answers on the right below to the questions on the left. • Task 3 One of you should look at File 23 on page 126, the other at File 57 on page 139. You’ll be looking at another organizational chart.
Task 4 Discuss these questions about your present company(or a company you’ve worked for): • Does the company have a clear structure (as in Perfect Products in File 23 and 57)? Or do people work in teams? • How has the organization changed since you’ve worked there? • What changes do you think there will be/ should be in future?
Assignment: Prepare a presentation on Advertising a certain product, and be ready to present your speech on Lessons 89-90
