Work Package Main Objectives MyOcean Information System (MIS) • Work package objectives: • Develop MyOcean CIS • Operate MyOcean CIS • Participate to transition from one release to next one, with service continuity • Develop and/or advocate some non central components (for distributed DUs) CIS User Interface System (UIS) MFC TAC Users

CIS Sub-system MyOcean Information System (MIS) • CIS sub-system: One of the 67 MyOcean sub-systems (42 PUs + 24 DUs + 1 CIS) • Project information and communication • Provides to MyOcean Users a common catalogue to access product Discovering, Viewing, Downloading and information about product s (Quality, User manual, …) • Provides interfaces and support to Producers to describe products and services in the MyOcean catalogue • Provides means to manage MyOcean Users • Monitors the products, the sub-systems and users. And provides Monitoring dashboards and reports User Interface System (UIS) Product Managers Users Service Desk, Service Managers

  4. MyOcean Gateways • MyOcean Gateway (because dissemination function is geographically distributed ) • Provides View functionalities • both for • Provides Download functionalities • Gridded products • In Situ products • Along track products CIS PC PUs MIS DUs View Download Users

V3 Challenges identified at Kick off • Neither easy nor good for relationship • CIS design in parallel of Top-level design • Incremental & parallelisation of CIS implementation • Establish stronger links with technical Community (Unidata, ...) (not enough) • V2 operational maintenance • And V3 implementation At same time ! • And V4 design • Change Web-portal host (without outage) .... Let’s see on Tuesday
