Who we are… • A non-profit consortium representing the leading companies that supply IT solutions and services to the justice, public safety and homeland security sectors. • Funded by a combination of industry contributions and grants from multiple federal agencies through the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA). • Providing training, assistance and program management services to local, state, tribal and federal organizations to help them fully realize the power of information.

IJIS role in Fusion Centers • Developing a National Fusion Center Business Architecture • IJIS Information Sharing Architecture Committee provides industry with an influential role. • Suspicious Activity Reporting IEPD initiative is one of the leading national efforts joining law enforcement and intelligence information. • IJIS industry representatives are working with leading organizations in this significant national initiative– DOJ, DHS, ODNI and the PM-ISE. • Emerging area of opportunity – IJIS industry members can realize the impact of early influence on the market.

IJIS Role in FBI N-DEx • Performing the Cost Analysis for National Deployment • IJIS will join industry experts with the FBI and representatives from state and local law enforcement. • FBI is interested and willing to engage industry in finding the best path to national deployment. • IJIS was asked by alliance partner, the Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR) to bring industry to the table. • Cost analysis outcome will define scope and approach for N-DEx deployment, and will affect IT solution providers and system integrators nationwide.

IJIS Role in NIEM • IJIS is engaging industry in the emerging strategy for the nationwide – cross organizational, cross jurisdictional, cross sector – adoption and use of the NIEM model. • IJIS will coordinate and deliver all NIEM technical training efforts, operate the NISS Help Desk and IEPD Clearinghouse • IJIS Institute XML Advisory Committee directly supports many NIEM program components • IJIS Chairs the NIEM Communications and Outreach Committee and has placed industry representatives onto the NIEM Business Architecture and Technical Architecture Committees. • The NIEM program continues to provide opportunities for IJIS member companies to directly influence the NIEM strategy, including working with key NIEM leadership
