European Union Policy The political integration process in the European Union has fostered the desire to support the construction of a European citizenship and social identity with European studies elements in relevant disciplines, in addition to the additional knowledge of the framework conditions of a European labour market.

  3. ERASMUS MUNDUS Cooperation Window The EM ECW is a co-operation and mobility scheme in the area of higher education co-operation launched by Europe Aid Cooperation Office and implemented by the Executive Agency Education, Audiovisual and Culture

  4. ERASMUS MUNDUS Cooperation Window achieve better understanding and mutual enrichment between the European Union and third countries co-operating in the field of higher education through promoting the exchange of: persons knowledge skills at higher education level

  5. ERASMUS MUNDUS Cooperation Window promotion of partnerships and institutional co-operation exchanges between European Higher Education Institutions and Third Country institutions and a mobility scheme addressing student and academic exchanges.

  6. Timetable for 2008 Call 5 December 2007: Publication of the 2007 Call for Proposals 15 February 2008: Deadline for the submission of HEIs partnership’s projects applications. March – April 2008: Project selection for partnerships projects May 2008 onwards : Award decision Selection of students & academic staff by the selected partnerships 15 July 2008 – 1st April 2009: Selection and latest start of student and academic staff mobility 1st December 2008: Submission of the individual mobility (students and academic staff) list.

  7. ERASMUS MUNDUS Cooperation Window The grants awarded under this scheme will normally fall between: • minimum of € 1 M to a maximum of € 9.6 M • Depending on the indicative amount made available for the window/lot

  8. LEONARDO PROGRAM This measure was born to promote the cooperation between enterprises the world of formation

  9. LEONARDO PROGRAM The mobility measure offers to sustain transnational mobility to people in formation

  10. LEONARDO PROGRAM Who can present a project ? • Enterprises • Universities • Public authorities • Public and private organizations

  13. LEONARDO PROGRAM implicates the existence of international cooperation among the “formation” institutes and the enterprises

  14. LEONARDO PROGRAM It has to be an integral part of the instruction program of the beneficiaries or to favor their introduction in the labor market

  15. LEONARDO PROGRAM It has to assure the monitoring of the beneficiaries and the institution of a tutor at the guest organization who will collaborate with sending Organizations

  16. LEONARDO PROGRAM It requires to be sufficiently long to ensure the acquisition of work experiences and competences related to the prescribed objectives

  17. LEONARDO PROGRAM The person in training MUST have Recognition of acquired abilities and competences According to the praxis of the country of origin

  21. ERASMUS TRAINING Requirements • Being enrolled as student (BA, BS, MA, MS or Ph.D or resident) • To have EU citizenship or permanent residence or refugee status • Language knowledge • Previous Leonardo grants not allowed

  22. ERASMUS TRAINING Selection of Students: Each member of the Consortium has its own selection based on: • Motivation • Language competence • Curricula studiorum • Personal CV • Interview

FULBRIGHT SCHOLARSHIPS A mainstay of America’s public-diplomacy efforts, the Fulbright Foreign Student Program brings citizens of other countries to the United States for Master’s degree or Ph.D. study at U.S. universities or other appropriate institutions. FULBRIGHT SCHOLARSHIPS The Fulbright Visiting Scholar Programis a non-degree research program for : junior and senior researchers, university lecturers and experts from academic institutions in Serbia.  This program sends scholars to the United States for advanced research and university lecturing.  All applicants must currently be affiliated with one of the universities in Serbia. Special preference will be given to candidates who have the capacity and commitment to take full advantage of a program of research or lecturing at a U.S. university, and who are willing to share their experience and knowledge after returning to Serbia.

FULBRIGHT SCHOLARSHIPS Eligibility requirements: · Applicants must be citizens of Republic of Serbia · Applicants must hold a PhD in the field of research or lecturing · Applicants must be proficient in oral and written English · Applicants must be eligible for J-1 visa ( which requires the grantee to return to the Republic of Serbia for a minimum of two years at the end of the grant period ) · Applicants must receive a satisfactory medical clearance · Persons desiring permanent residence in the United States are not eligible Dependents: Since the funds are limited, the Fulbright program at this time does not permit accompanying dependents.
