PR-50001_01 Ancillary Services • Scope of PR-50001_01 Ancillary Services The scope of this PUCT project includes Ad-hoc reporting capability against an Ancillary Services (AS) Market “subject area”. • Features and Deliverables: • includes AS Requests, AS Bids, and AS Deployments • includes prompts for Hour Ending, QSE name, and CM Zone; the ability to create custom prompts/filters was also included. • Current Activity • This completes the first of four subprojects for the PUCT: • 50001_01 Ancillary Services • 50001_02 Price Spike Analysis • 50001_03 Replacement Reserves Market Ad Hoc Reporting • 50001_04 Ad Hoc Access to QSE Down-Balancing Compliance Report Data • The three remaining sub projects of 50001 are scheduled to complete by 12/31/05. Lodestar Enhancement SIRs • Scope of PR-40075_01 Lodestar EnhancementSIRs: • PRR-471 NIDR to IDR Default Profile Scaling • PRR350 Smoothing Algorithm • Features and Deliverables: • PRR-471 NIDR to IDR Default Profiling: • Scaled the IDR default profile based on the load of the last NIDR readings to reduce load variance • PRR350 Smoothing Algorithm: • The QSE Project Managers directed ERCOT to remove DC tie import values before performing the smoothing algorithm; after the schedule has been smoothed, DC tie import values will be added back to the smoothed values for use in the Uncontrolled Resource charge type • Current Activity • The other part of the parent project is PRR488 Weather Determination which will be completed under PR-40075_02. MV90 Software Purchase • Scope of PR-50033_01 MV90 Software Purchase: • The scope of this project was to purchase the MV90xi version software supported by the following: • Current version of software, MV90 v5.0 becomes obsolete and unsupported by the vendor in May, 2007 • The software vendor is offering incentive pricing to its’ customers to make it attractive to upgrade to the new software prior to May, 2007 • Incentive pricing is being offered in a tiered-approach, with costs escalating over time – purchasing the software prior to 6/30/2005 will save ERCOT $110,000. • Features and Deliverables: • Purchased copy of the MV90xi versioned software. • Current Activity • The other part of the parent project is to implement the MV90xi versioned software which will be completed under PR-50033_02.
