2. ABOUT US Kolkata TV began its journey as a 24 hours Bengali news channel in the Year 2006. As a new comer in the cluster of news and entertainment channels a year ago, we today emerged as, number one in Bengali 24X7 news channel only on the strong base of meaningful reporting, strong programme content, smart presentation with a motive to unturn every stone to reveal any news with an unbiased attitude. We have got a strong viewership base and committed viewers throught out West Bengal.

8. “EI MUHURTE” • A 'mirror of the moment' News Bulletin that reflects the top stories of the day. 6 to 7 major news items are chosen and the anchors discuss various aspects of those stories. Bytes and packages are played too. • Time : 8.00 to 23.00 hrs • Duration : 5 min. in every hour.

9. “SAMBAD SARADIN” • A daily news round up containing local news, national news as well as international news. News related to politics, human interest, sports, entertainment etc. • Duration : 20 mts. • Timing : Everyday at 8.00, 10.00, 12.00, 14.00, 16.00, 18.00, 20.00, 22.00 hrs.

10. KHABOR SERIOUS • An animation based comedy caricature show in structure, it deals with a big issue of the day. The issue may be anything, but has to be a relevant topic of the day. • Time : 09.00 to 23.00 hrs • Duration : 5 min. in every hour.

To know Bengal and its richness and for a greater and deeper communication we explore more into the deep to find out the richness and essence of Bengali Culture. Not only the essence, we also explore the darker side of life, full of miseries, tears, and sorrow. 14. “ZERO HOUR” A discussion based programme, conversing, disputing, and exchanging ideas, initiative and suggestions on every day socio-political issues that infuriate and lift up the Bengali life. The topics are chosen depending on the issue that turns out to be focal point of existence of our Bengali identity, which in turn takes a pan-Indian shape.
