  1. Welcome to the Dojo Ready to master LYNC? Join the Matrix and open LYNC for this session

  2. Add Contacts LYNC You are not alone. Follow the white rabbit: 1. On the main Lync window, type the contact's email address into the search bar. 2. Click on the "+" to add the contact.

  3. Add Your Picture LYNC • Want to add your picture to LYNC? • Open a website with your picture on it (like Facebook) • Click the picture you want to use- you may have to crop it • Once the picture is selected right click it and “copy the URL” • In LYNC~ click the placeholder • The paste the URL into the last option!

  4. Add Your Picture Educator LYNC Open your course Go to My Folders Upload your Picture Open the file you uploaded Right click the file and copy the image URL This is the link you need!

  5. Add Phone Number LYNC Click "Options" Click on "Phone" and be sure you have the proper numbers in there

  6. Personalize Your Writing LYNC Is Times New Roman, 12pt, black font not exciting enough? On the main Lync window click: 1. Tools 2. Options On the Lync - Options window click: 1. General 2. Change Font

  7. Emoticons LYNC Please watch this video and help us say goodbye to our emoticons

  8. LYNC Change your status from RED to GREEN

  9. Make Groups LYNC • Right click when you are hovering over “other contacts” • Create new group • Move groups up or down ( default is abc order) • Once you have a group you • Chat with a group all at once • CALL a group all at once • Start a VIDEO chat! • Just right click and go!

  10. Make Groups From Email Lists LYNC Type the "EXACT" name if your email list in the search bar Find the desired listed Click the "+" You will now find the new list on your contacts Keep in mind that meetings can only contain 100 or less members

  11. Audio Calls LYNC When "chat" is not enough: 1. Hover your mouse pointer over a contact the contact you wish to have an audio chat with. 2. Click on the call button that appears. 3. An audio call in Lync will be initiated.

  12. Audio Chat Video Chat LYNC When you just need to SEE your incredible teammate: 1. Double click their name on your contact list. 2. On the message window that results, click either Call or Video. *Click the down arrow to the right of each option for even more options!

  13. Group Chat Audio/Video LYNC When you just need to SEE your incredible teammates: Select the group you would like to chat with Click the "Call button" Click the "Video" button to share your video

  14. Group Chat Audio/Video LYNC To invite even more people: Click on the "Join Information and Meeting Options Link" Copy the "Meeting Link" You may send this via email or IM

  15. Merge Your Chat Windows LYNC Would you like all of your conversations in one window? • Click the link in the chat box to download "Lync Merged Tabs" • Restart Lync • Run the program after downloading

  16. Share Button LYNC The share button works like our share button in Elluminate/BBCv12.

  17. Share Monitors LYNC You caneasily share your desktop by clicking on Desktop or on the Monitor you wish to share (if you have multiple monitors)

  18. Share Program LYNC You can share a specific program by clicking on “Program.”

  19. Share Whiteboard LYNC You can share a group whiteboard by clicking on New Whiteboard.

  20. Polls LYNC Once you select "share" and "Poll" You will get a pop up. Fill in and ENJOY!
