Oct. 8 Saturday Oct. 7 Friday Oct. 4 Tuesday Oct. 5 Wednesday Oct. 6 Thursday Oct. 9 Sunday Shift #1 (8 AM – 2 PM) Shift #2 (8 AM – 2 PM) The PGA Championship WGC – American Express Championship Harding Park Golf Course October 4 – 9 San Francisco, CA Volunteers Needed CityTeam San Francisco has been blessed recently because we have been selected as a non-profit to be a part of the upcoming October 4 – 9 PGA Tour. CityTeam will host two concession stands at the event and will receive a percentage of the proceeds, which will be used to help the poor and homeless who come through our doors on Sixth Street. CityTeam needs 132 volunteers to help with this event. There will be two shifts per day and you will receive entrance to this exciting event, free parking and lunch. Possible volunteer positions include griller, wrapper, product runner, and cashier. If you would like to volunteer – please contact Heather Burrow at hburrow@cityteam.org – please include your name and contact information and specify your first and second choice for which day and time. This can be a fun activity for an individual, group or company. Just one way you can help make a difference in the lives of the poor of SF. As part of the PGA Tour - WGC The American Express Championship is one of the four World Golf Championships events, a series of global tournaments the brings together some of the world's best golfers. World Golf Championships have been held at some of the great courses around the globe and Harding Park is a terrific addition to this list. San Francisco has a long and storied history of hosting some of golf's most prestigious championships and holding the American Express Championship at Harding Park will continue that tradition. The Harding Park Golf Course was designed by Willie Watson and opened back in 1925. The Lucky International, a former PGA Tour event, was played at this venue from 1961-66 and again in 1968.
