Wound Healing Case StudyUsing High Power Laser Therapy History: Sixty-three year-old male, with a history of moderate vascular disease, recent ex-smoker and neuropathy.  On his first visit to physician on 3-12-07, he complained of 3-week history of an ulcer on the plantar surface of the right great toe, inferior to the IP joint.  During the period Between 3-12-07 to 5-25-07, he was treated with a combination of local debridement, oral antibiotics, IV antibiotics during a brief hospitalization and the use of a special shoe that avoids pressure on the toes.  His overall foot condition would improve and deteriorate every week. 

  3. In the photo of 5-10-07, the portion of bone in the photo was easily removed from the head of the proximal phalanx. Osteomyelitis was diagnosed by pathology. High Power Laser Therapy

  6. High Power Laser Therapy The patient received laser therapy for a 10-minute treatment at 7.5 Watts on 5-31-07, 6-7-07 and 6-25-07. Dated pictures to follow.
