Purpose of this Presentation To inform students, faculty, and staff of the evacuation policy for the RTC building at Mott Community College’s main campus. To show what routes to take inside the RTC building in order to evacuate it.
From MCC’s Emergency Response and Preparedness Quick Reference guide: • Take your keys and other personal belongings. • Close, but do not lock, doors. • Turn off electronics and lights. • Unless otherwise indicated, persons with disabilities should use the elevators to reach the ground floor. In the event that elevators cannot be used, persons with disabilities should go to stairway landings and wait for assistance from emergency response personnel. Evacuation chairs will be used where available. Mott Community College’s Evacuation Policy
Continued from MCC’s Emergency Response and Preparedness Quick Reference Guide: • Able-bodied persons capable of using stairs should avoid elevators, making them available to those with disabilities. • Calmly evacuate using the nearest safe exit.
