The church is the body of Christ • Ephesians 1:22-23 – He is head over all things to the church, His body • Ephesians 5:23 – He is Savior of the Body • Act 2:47 - The Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved • Hebrews 12:22-24 – the general assembly and church of the firstborn… How do we become part of this body?
God’s plan of salvation • It begins with hearing the word (truth) • Acts 2:37, when they heard, they were cut to the heart • Acts 15:7, the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe • Acts 16:13-14, in Philippi, Lydia heard us, she “heeded the things spoken • Acts 18:8, many Corinthians, heard, believed and were baptized

NOT the sinner’s prayer (??)1 Peter 3:21
God’s plan of salvation • Becoming a Christian is only the beginning • Revelation 2:10, be faithful until (unto) death • Romans 6:3-4, you are a changed person. No longer living in your former conduct • The Lord’s church is a part of your new life!
One way we can identify the Lord’s church is by what it teaches concerning how one is saved and how we become a part of that church • When we are saved, we are ADDED to the church (Acts 2:47) • We then should seek to JOIN a local congregation (church) – Acts 9:26-27
