  3. Our oceans are at their maximum sustainable yield — we can’t catch any more seafood than we already are. At the same time, the world’s population will increase by 2.6 billion over the next 45 years — meaning demand for seafood will also rise.

  4. The United States seafood trade deficit is $10.4 billion — a deficit second only to oil and natural gas 91 percent of the seafood we consume in the U.S. is imported — and more than half is farm-raised Asia By 2030, two-thirds of the worlds middle class will reside in Asia — 3 billion people China has already switched from being a seafood exporter to a seafood importer China’s demand for shrimp alone will be 4.5 billion metric tons by 2015 —U.S. seafood consumption last year was about 2 million metric tons

  5. Traditional farming uses “new” water as quickly as every 5 to 7 minutes. • At our farm, we clean and re-use water for 5 to 7 days, protecting a precious natural resource. • Mote sturgeon are grown indoors — all parameters are controlled, allowing us to produce caviar with a consistent flavor and quality. • Our products produced in accordance with Country-of-Origin Labeling standards and are U.S.-produced. • Fresh from Florida designation

  6. Caviar and Sturgeon Production • Consistent supply • Pollution-free — water supplied by well • Safe: Undergo federal and state inspections • Environmental stewardship is a key part of our mission • Remove fishing pressure on wild stocks; natural resources Purchase supports additional aquaculture R&D & Mote’s overall research mission

  7. Thank You!
