Exodus 2: 23-25 23 … “The Israelites groaned in their slavery and cried out, and their cry for help because of their slavery went up to God. 24 God heard their groaning and He remembered His covenant with Abraham, with Isaac and with Jacob. 25 So God looked on the Israelites and was concerned about them.”
Exodus 2: 1-10 • Moses is born to Levite parents & kept hidden for 3 months • Moses is sent down the Nile in a basket…. adopted by Pharaoh’s “daughter” and ends up nursed by his biological mom
Acts 7: 21-22 21 “… Pharaoh’s daughter took him and brought him up as her own son. 22 Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action.”
Hebrews 11: 24-25 24 “By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh’s daughter. 25 He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the fleeting pleasures of sin.”
Exodus 2: 11-25 • At age 40, Moses murders an Egyptian taskmaster… eventually choosing to flee Egypt. • Moses creates a new, simpler life for himself over the next 40 years as a shepherd, marrying and having 2 sons in Midian.
Exodus 4: 29-31 29 “Moses and Aaron brought together all the elders of the Israelites, 30 and Aaron told them everything the Lord had said to Moses. He also performed the signs before the people, 31 and they believed. And when they heard that the Lord was concerned about them and had seen their misery, they bowed down and worshiped.”
Moses and Aaron worked to convince the Israelites of God’s Wisdom, Heart, & Power to help them find freedom. So many today suffer for years trapped in “bondage” because of the same unbelief.
